Cookies Policy
How we use cookies and similar technologies
Last Updated: 21 August 2026
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When changes are made, we will update the ‘last updated’ date at the top of this page.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit our website. They help us provide you with a better experience and allow certain features to function. This policy explains how Rebel Telecom Limited ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies in accordance with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR. Essential cookies are processed on the basis of legitimate interest or necessity for the provision of our services. All non-essential cookies are processed only with your consent.
2. Essential Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or filling in forms.
- Session cookies — maintain your session while browsing (e.g., cart contents)
- Authentication cookies — keep you logged in to your account
- Cookie consent — remember your cookie preferences
- Security cookies — protect against cross-site request forgery
3. Functional Cookies
These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalisation, such as remembering your preferences and settings. If you do not allow these cookies, some or all of these features may not function properly.
- Address autocomplete — Google Places API for UK address lookup during checkout
- Language/region preferences — remember your locale settings
4. Analytics and Performance
We use analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website so we can improve it. We rely on two different technologies for this:
Google Analytics 4 (cookie-based — consent required). When you select "Accept All", Google Analytics sets cookies (for example _ga and _ga_YG5LVNYZEG) to measure page views, navigation and returning visits. Using Google Consent Mode, these cookies are denied by default and are only set after you give consent. If you choose "Essential Only", no Google Analytics cookies are placed on your device. Google Analytics is provided by Google LLC.
Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights (cookieless — no consent required). We use Vercel’s privacy-friendly analytics to measure aggregate traffic and real-world page performance (such as load times). These tools are cookieless and first-party — they set no cookies on your device and do not track you across websites — so they operate without requiring your consent.
5. Marketing Cookies
If you choose "Accept All", we use the Meta Pixel (provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.) to measure how our Facebook and Instagram advertising performs and to show relevant Rebel Telecom adverts to people who have visited our site. It sets cookies such as _fbp. If you choose "Essential Only", no marketing cookies are placed on your device and the Meta Pixel does not load at all.
6. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
When you first visit our website, you will be shown a cookie banner allowing you to accept all cookies or limit to essential cookies only. Non-essential cookies (including analytics, functional and marketing cookies) will only be set after you have given your consent. No such cookies will be placed on your device before consent is obtained. You can change your preferences at any time by:
- Clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site
- Using your browser settings to block or delete cookies
- Contacting us at the address below
Please note that blocking certain cookies may affect website functionality, including the checkout process and address lookup features.
7. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are placed by third-party services that appear on our pages:
- Stripe — payment processing (essential, set during checkout only)
- Google Places — address autocomplete (functional, requires consent)
- Auth0 — authentication service (essential for account features)
- Google Analytics — website analytics by Google LLC (cookies set only after you select "Accept All")
- Vercel — cookieless analytics and performance monitoring (sets no cookies)
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — advertising measurement and retargeting (marketing, only after you select "Accept All")
Stripe cookies are strictly necessary to process payments securely and are only activated during checkout.
Auth0 cookies are strictly necessary for user authentication and maintaining secure login sessions.
8. How Long Do Cookies Last
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them. Our persistent cookies typically expire after 12 months.
9. Your Rights
Under PECR and UK GDPR, you have the right to control how cookies are used on your device. For more information about your data protection rights, please see our Privacy Policy.
