Guidelines for using Rebel Telecom services responsibly

1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using Rebel Telecom Limited's mobile telecommunications services and associated products. By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy. This policy should be read alongside our Terms of Service and Fair Usage Policy.
2. General Rules
You must not use our services to:
- Engage in any unlawful, illegal, fraudulent, or harmful activity
- Send, receive, upload, or distribute any content that is offensive, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or threatening
- Harass, bully, intimidate, or cause distress to any person
- Infringe the intellectual property rights or privacy of any person
- Transmit any unsolicited communications (spam) including bulk SMS, automated calls, or marketing messages
- Distribute viruses, malware, or any other harmful software
3. Network Abuse
You must not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our network, systems, or other customers' accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt our network or services, including denial-of-service activities
- Use our services in a way that adversely affects other users' ability to access or use the network
- Use our SIM cards in modems, routers, or other devices for the purpose of providing commercial internet services unless explicitly permitted by your plan
- Resell, re-supply, or commercially exploit our services without our written consent
This includes but is not limited to:
- SIM boxing or call routing fraud
- Artificial traffic generation or call pumping
- Use of SIM farms or automated bulk SIM activity
- Resale of network access or routing services
4. Illegal Use
You must not use our services for any activity that is illegal under English law or the law of the country from which you are using the service. This includes but is not limited to:
- Distribution of child sexual abuse material (we report all such activity to the National Crime Agency)
- Fraud, phishing, or identity theft
- Terrorism-related offences
- Drug trafficking or supply of controlled substances
- Copyright infringement or piracy
We take safeguarding seriously and may restrict or review usage where we believe a child may be at risk of harm, exploitation, or exposure to inappropriate content.
5. Device Tampering
For Rebel Phone devices with built-in parental controls, you must not:
- Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent any security or parental control features
- Root, jailbreak, or modify the device software beyond its intended configuration
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any proprietary software on the device
- Install unauthorised applications outside of the curated app store
6. Premium Rate and International Services
Certain premium-rate numbers (09xx, 118xxx) and international calls may be barred by default or subject to spending caps. If you suspect unauthorised use of premium services on your account, contact us immediately.
7. Consequences of Breach
We may investigate suspected breaches of this policy and may request relevant information or cooperation from you to assess compliance.
If we reasonably believe you have breached this policy, we may:
- Issue a warning and request you cease the offending activity
- Temporarily suspend your service while we investigate
- Permanently terminate your service
- Where necessary to protect customers, the network, or comply with legal obligations, we may take immediate action without prior notice.
- Report illegal activity to the relevant law enforcement authorities
- Cooperate with law enforcement investigations as required by law. We will only disclose information to law enforcement where legally required or where we are satisfied that a valid legal basis exists.
Any enforcement action will be proportionate to the severity and impact of the breach, taking into account customer circumstances where appropriate.
Where possible, we will notify you before taking action and give you an opportunity to address the breach. However, for serious or illegal activity, we may act immediately without prior notice.
8. Reporting Abuse

This address may also be used to report account compromise, SIM fraud, phishing attempts, or security incidents.
We will acknowledge abuse reports within a reasonable timeframe and take appropriate action where required, including investigation, suspension, or escalation to law enforcement.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify you via our website or customer communications. Continued use of our services after the updated policy takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
